Find all you need to install BRAMS for parallel runs. System Requirements: 1. A compiler set: C and Fortran 90 compatible compilers. GNU compilers (g95 and gcc), Intel compilers (ifc and icc) and Portland Group compilers (pgf90 and pgcc) were successfully tested on PC clusters. 2. MPI: The MPI installation should be compatible with the compiler set. That requires MPI to be compiled with the same compiler set. Directions for MPI download are available at Utilities. 3. HDF: Directions for HDF download are available at Utilities. 4. Post-processing tools: Only one of RamsPost or Revu are required for post-processing. Directions for download RamsPost or Revu are available at Utilities. 5. A visualization tool: Directions for download Grads are available at Utilities. How to install: 1. Download brams4.2-src.tar.gz (about 3.6 MB). 2.Create a home directory for BRAMS. Ex: directory /home/user/src-brams42 mkdir /home/user/src-brams42 3. Copy downloaded file into home directory Ex: cp brams4.2-src.tar.gz /home/user/src-brams42 4. Decompress file tar -xzvf brams4.2-src.tar.gz or gunzip brams4.2-src.tar.gz tar -xvf brams4.2-src.tar 5. Enter in brams source directory, read README file and execute cd /home/user/src-brams42/build/bin ./configure ./install.sh
